With a passion for Shito-Ryu Karate, he began his martial arts journey in 2004 while living in the Khudunabari Refugee Camp in Jhapa, Nepal.

Achievements:
- Sodan (1st Degree Black Belt): Achieved on October 28, 2018
- Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt): Achieved on July 10, 2022

Coaching Journey:
In 2016, Upendra Kuikel embarked on his coaching journey in Charlotte, NC, USA, serving as an assistant coach to Sensei Yadu K. Kuikel. He later became a co-coach alongside Sensei Nim Lama from 2017 to 2018. After several years of experience, he returned to his role as an assistant coach to Sensei Yadu K. Kuikel at the Reynoldsburg, OH Dojo.

Contribution to Bhutanese Karate Organizations:
Upendra Kuikel is one of the founding members of two Bhutanese Karate Organizations, namely DISKA and TASK, in the US. His dedication to these organizations has been unwavering, and he has played pivotal roles within TASK. He served as a board of director and secretary in TASK for five years, followed by an additional year as a Treasurer. Currently, he continues to contribute as one of the board of directors in TASK.

Upendra Kuikel's commitment to Shito-Ryu Karate, coaching, and the development of Bhutanese Karate in the US has made him a respected figure in the martial arts community. His passion for teaching and promoting martial arts is evident in his continued involvement with the dojo and karate organizations.
