Brief info

Bhim Thapa is a dedicated karate practitioner with a remarkable journey. He began his karate training in his teens in Bhutanese Refugee camp, Beldangi 2, Nepal, under the expert guidance of Sensei Madhan Upreti, Sensei Ram Chamling, and Sensei Santosh Yakha, receiving invaluable mentorship from Sensei Raney Rai. Bhim's dedication led him to become a karate instructor from 1992, actively shaping the lives of aspiring martial artists in Beldangi 2 till 2005.

In 1995, Bhim achieved the prestigious black belt in karate, a testament to his skill and dedication. His talent shone brightly as he secured gold medals in both national and international karate and kickboxing championships, showcasing his prowess on a global stage.

Beyond his achievements in the dojo, Bhim's commitment extended to education. He worked as a teacher at Trirathna Secondary School and later earned the esteemed position of vice principal, where he continued to inspire and guide young minds. In 2009, Bhim embarked on a new chapter, resettling in Scranton, PA. He moved to Lexington KY in 2015, his passion for karate remained unwavering as he took on the role of supervising and coaching dojos in Lexington and Louisville, KY. His guidance bore fruit in the form of national champions, a testament to his exceptional coaching. Continuing to ascend the ranks of mastery, Bhim Thapa currently holds the distinguished black belt 4th Dan in Karate. He proudly serves as a senior instructor in Shito-Ryu Shobukan Karate (TASK), USA, guiding the next generation of martial artists with his wealth of knowledge and experience. Bhim's journey is a testament to the power of dedication, hard work, and the indomitable spirit of a true karateka.
